The Practice Educator Professional Standards (PEPS) held by BASW were refreshed in 2022 to promote the development of professional standards in social work education. This was completed in consultation with key partners.
The Professional Educator Professional Standards is in document form which can be used to promote good and best practice. It aims to provide a better understanding of the role of Practice Educator and its demands by students, employers and others involved in practice education.
The document includes guidance and assessment that is integrated with social work values which can be used by PEPS providers, HEI’s and Student Practice Educators studying PEPS.
